The Low Carbon KEEP Programme aims to assist over 300 businesses in reducing their carbon footprint, making substantial efficiency savings and investing in clean technologies and renewable forms of energy.
Low Carbon KEEP Programme is part of the government funded, UK wide, Knowledge Transfer programme which is dedicated to increasing collaboration between businesses and academic institutions.
It’s a three-way partnership between a company, a university or college and a recently-qualified graduate.
There are a huge variety of projects that can deliver carbon savings, including but limited to the following:
Micro businesses (owner, no employees) and small to medium sized businesses (1-249 employees) based in, or trading from a location in, the East of England (Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk).
For a small to medium sized businesses, the company contribution will be approximately 60% of the project's total cost, with the programme contributing 40%.
Any university or college in the UK can be the academic partner on a project.
The Low Carbon KEEP Programme is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the East of England Development Agency (EEDA).
